Duties THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION.
The primary purpose of the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-9, is to be the point of contact for the Logistics Readiness Squadron deployment and training activities.
Manages customer training and provides the Logistics Readiness Squadron forces with training and resources for deployed operations.
Responsible for coordination with other base organizations on applicable plans.
This position manages the development of plans for deployments, contingency response, expeditionary support planning, sustainment, and redeployment.
Prepares updates and reviews the Logistics Readiness Squadron contingency/ deployment, base support, and related plans.
Coordinates plans and annexes with Logistics Readiness Squadron managers.
Responsible for Automated Training Systems, products, and a multimedia library and for developing training policies and procedures.
This position provides training guidance and/or assistance to work center supervisors.
Plans and initiates cross-training and familiarization training to effect better personnel utilization.
Coordinates, develops, and administers management training programs for supervisory personnel.
Develops local training programs to accommodate supply procedural changes, and coordinates changes to other career field areas as directed, to improve operational effectiveness when management indicators reflect potential trouble areas.
Determining training requirements by reviewing and correlating documentation and balancing training needs against available resources.
Analyzes exercise and contingency plans to determine required Logistics Readiness Squadron actions in support of mission requirements.
Identifies logistical problem areas and determines actions required to resolve the issues identified, as well as plans and develops course material.
The position resides within the infrastructure and support functions of the state National Guard; the incumbent is not subject to mobilization, nor is the work described part of the military mission; and the incumbent does not perform a key advisory or essential administrative role that is inherently military.
In addition, the position must meet one of the following: It does not have a comparable military function; the position is required in full-time (civilian) role when the organization, or similar military position, is mobilized to perform continuing post-mobilization functions; or the position requires a skill or competency that necessitates technical expertise or professional qualifications that cannot be readily found in the military structure of the state military force.
May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

Qualifications LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government.
This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated.
Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Serving as a consultant and authority to the Logistics Chief; Analyzes budgetary relationships and develops recommendations for budgetary actions for logistics programs and specific functions; Advises on manning and personnel assignments, changes, needs and problem areas; Reviewing the logistics division portion of classified plans for full compliance with security regulations and policies to ensure that security compromise does not exists; Controls and monitors logistics manning authorizations and personnel assignments for civilian and military personnel.
