Definition:
Under general administrative direction provided by the Deputy Director - Community Services and supervision by the Community Services Manager, the CSC works directly with residents to support, encourage, and foster resident self-sufficiency and empowerment.
Responsibilities:
Works in collaborative and productive partnerships with staff from other departments, property management, service providers, and residents to implement assistance and programs across properties.
Establishes links to community agencies and service providers.
Serves as a liaison to community agencies and networks/seeks out new services.
Develops and maintains up to date resource directories.
Implements appropriate programming to meet resident needs and property related service commitments.
Actively works on engagement and outreach strategies for residents and develops a system for follow-up on these activities.
Prepares outreach materials and disseminates using diverse channels.
Conducts annual resident needs assessments to identify characteristics of services that residents use, need, and want.
Collaborates in the facilitation of tenant meetings as needed.
CSC must closely track program performance to ensure effectiveness and impact.
Implements excellent data tracking systems for auditing purposes and identification of service gaps.
May provide volunteer and/or internship coordination and oversight.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary to accommodate programmatic and resident needs.
Any other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS in social work, education, sociology, psychology, or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
At least 1 year of experience coordinating services for affordable housing projects or experience working for a service provider in a professional capacity that aligns itself with this position is desirable.
Bilingual and biliterate (English/Spanish) Required.

Additional requirements:
Valid California driver’s license and availability of insured vehicle to travel on agency business as required.
