* Our manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant who will support the invoicing, billing, and AP department.
This individual will be working closely with the current Accounts Payable/Purchasing Manager.
To be successful, this candidate will need experience in an office setting, along with data entry knowledge.
Ideally, this candidate will be well organized and self-motivated.
*Job Duties:*
· Daily scanning & filing
· Matching bills (PO’s & Invoices)
· Miscellaneous office duties
*Requirements:*
· Netsuite experience prefered not required.
· College Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Intermediate computer program skills in Microsoft Office and Excel.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong problem solving, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
· Ability to work independently, and with a team, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy, organization, and timeliness.
· Displays a genuine passion for their work and portrays a sense of purpose and enthusiasm.
Work Location: In person
* Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
* Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and record general ledger postings, and statements.
* Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
* Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
* Provide assistance and support to company personnel
* Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
* Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
* Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
*Skills*
* Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
* Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
* Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Aptitude for numbers
* Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
* Data entry and word processing skills
* Well organized
* High school degree
