JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for promoting and selling PODS products and services, the Sales Consultant will approach sales as a way of helping our customers receive the best value for their money.
Sales Consultants must be service-oriented individuals, able to communicate effectively and display a professional and positive demeanor.
The Sales Consultant must exercise sound judgment and act responsibly on the customer’s behalf to deliver a world class customer experience.
Our NATIONAL Call Center receives inbound sales inquiries only.
Any customer that does not buy with PODS National sales during that first call will have their data collected and will be available on a report called 2nd Chance Quotes.
Our corporate office does not follow up on initial calls.
This position is responsible to follow up on all sales inquiries from the day before via their shared phone numbers and email address.
Every morning you will come into work and immediately open a 2nd chance quote report that contain 10-30 customers that inquired but did not commit.
Your job is to turn these inquiries into sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate exceptional selling techniques and product knowledge to provide customers with container rental and associated product information, establish quotes and secure quality sales for local storage and move customers
• Solicit information from the customers, capturing all data elements to evaluate their needs and match our product line to ensure customer requirements are met and ensure that the customer understands products and services offered
• Meet or exceed all performance criteria as defined including, but not limited to container targets, conversion, adherence to schedule, average handle time, quality and customer satisfaction
• Ability to handle all call types including, but not limited to military, customer service and other overflow calls as necessary to fulfill business needs.
• Ability to work schedules as determined to meet business needs, including some overtime as needed
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned such as trade show attendance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
1 year+ sales (non-retail) experience preferred ; minimum of 6 months sales experience required
Verifiable sales experience (preferably in a fast-paced, high volume environment) required
Ability to type 30 words per minute.
A typing test will be administered.

Role is 100% ONSITE at PODS Oxnard, CA Storage Facility
Commit to a paid mandatory training period of 4 weeks (Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm)
Commit to the required work schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation Plan is hourly pay and unlimited commission potential (compensation plan and signing/assimilation bonus details shared in Recruiter interview)
