JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for documenting cleaning and sanitizing procedures for food contact and nonfood contact surfaces, training staff on sanitation basics and SOP’s.
Ensure all responsibilities are met by scheduled deadlines and up to Mission standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Understand all aspects of sanitation.
§ Lead a team of up to 10 people, training, assigning tasks, and reviewing work.
§ Keep buildings, grounds, and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
§ Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors with brooms, scrubber machines, scrapers, mops, squeegees, or compressed air.
§ Maintain cleanliness of walls and doors using scrub brushes, scrapers, squeegees, hand towels, and pressure washers.
§ Conduct bi-weekly safety tailgate training.
§ Document and maintain sanitation logs.
§ Develop and maintain sanitation SOP’s.
§ Read and understand chemical labels.
§ Willingness and ability to operate heavy machinery including pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts and boomlifts.
§ Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
§ Able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
§ Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers in a team environment.
§ Basic knowledge of Sanitation procedures and chemical application.
§ Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
§ Standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching for prolonged periods of time.
§ Stand for an 8-to-12 hour shift.
§ Work in cold conditions from 38°F to 50°F.
§ Use industrial foaming and pressure washing machines.
§ Work around conveyors and other moving equipment.
§ Lifting, pushing, pulling, and grasping while standing and kneeling.
§ Comfortable with repetitive movement.
