*Scope:* Reports to the Prod/Manufacturing Engineering Manager or CAD Drafter Supervisor.
Scope and quantity of projects reflects minimal to moderate levels of ability and experience specifically related to Wilwood product development.
*Summary*: Create detailed drawings from layouts, sketches and verbal instructions.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * \* Creation and modification of 2D/3D SolidWorks documentation.
Must be proficient with defining 3D part models, assembly models and drawing files.
\* Draw initial designs and/or concepts sketches per defined parameters.
\* Communicate technical information as defined by a Designer or Engineer.
\* Participate in periodic departmental meetings as attendee or technical assistant.
\* Train subordinates in Wilwood processes and procedure relevant to their position.
Advice junior team members in the proper chain of command for purposes of communication.
\* Perform search projects using both external and internal data sources to assist in the creation of Drawings, Bills of Materials and Routings.
\* Creation and processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) which defines and incorporates changes on existing drawings and structure.
\* Ability to recognize and given organizational freedom to report quality deficiencies, recommend solutions, and implements approved corrective and preventative action.
*Qualification Requirements:* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*Education and/or Experience:* High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of working experience with SolidWorks, design software.
Graduate from a Technical school and/or a College with training in Computer Aided Design.
Experience in Mechanical Drafting and CAD systems required.
AutoCAD knowledge a plus.
*Skills and Abilities:* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to read drawings with and understanding of true positioning and geometric tolerancing, and a working knowledge of descriptive geometry.
Ability to visualize three-dimensional views from a two-dimensional drawing and vice versa.
Ability to read ANSY 14.
5 standard required.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Knowledgeable in manufacturing and machining processes in order to determine good manufacturing practices.
Ability to translate these concepts into tangible benefits.
Proficient in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.
) and Solidworks, Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers and management.
