Senior Business Analyst
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role bridging the technical expertise of data engineers and data scientists with operational expertise throughout the business.
This position not only translates business requirements into achievable Data Analytics & Technology initiatives but also ensures these initiatives deliver tangible value to the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, mastery of process management and business analytics, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an understanding of the lifecycle of business analytics and technology initiatives.
Essential Duties
Act as a liaison between Business Analytics & Technology teams and business users.
Collaborate with business units to identify and implement analytics solutions.
Translate visions, objectives, and concerns of business users into detailed specifications, leveraging compelling storytelling techniques.
Lead analytics initiatives from ideation to production, adoption, and scaling, while understanding the complete lifecycle and potential challenges.
Help scale data analytics and technology solutions across the organization for maximum impact.
Work closely with business users and stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for data analytics and technology solutions.
Recognize business challenges or processes that can be enhanced, champion these improvements, and collaborate with the DataOps team to implement solutions.
Oversee the documentation of functional requirements and business processes for data analytics and technology initiatives.
Engage in the design of technical solutions, serving as the intermediary between offshore development teams and the business users.
Interact with various departments and/or functional teams to support solution delivery.
Provide ongoing support to business users with implemented analytics and technology solutions, ensuring that ad hoc data requests are handled efficiently and accurately.
Engage in continuous improvement efforts for existing solution sets, analyzing performance metrics, gathering user feedback, and collaborating with the teams to optimize and refine solutions.
Design, communicate, and offer training and documentation for end users.
Diagnose and rectify issues flagged by end users.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Needed
Conduct ad hoc data analysis and produce solution prototypes.
Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and BI visualization tools (e.
g.
, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and workflow automation, proficiency in SQL.
Established ability to comprehend intricate business processes and propose viable business solutions.
Stellar communication skills – both oral and written.
Aptitude to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and honor commitments.
Passion for ongoing improvement, with the capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Proficiency in BI visualization tools (e.
g.
, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
Prior experience in a SCRUM or Agile environment is advantageous.
