Software Development Engineer
KBR has an exciting opportunity for experienced Software Development Engineers in support of the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) Point Mugu, CA.
The Software Engineer’s role encompasses, to varying degrees, all phases of the software engineering life cycle and will be responsible for Well-designed, testable, efficient software code development per established DOD standards, integration of software components into existing systems, Troubleshoot/debug/enhance existing systems and deployment.
DOD requires adherence to MBSE – Model Based Systems Engineering principles.
You will be an active and integral member of an Agile team to achieve the completion of assigned goals collaboratively.
The incumbent for this position will be available for a sign-on bonus
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related field and 10 years of progressive, related experience.
Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with existing Department of Defense (DOD) clearance or US Citizen eligible for DoD clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work within Agile and SAFe Agile Framework based development teams and guidelines.
Knowledge and experience with the following are highly preferred:
JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, NodeJS and React
C#, WPF and Java
SQL server and other databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.
)
Using Relational Databases in Service and object-oriented development environments.
Service Oriented Architectures, Development, Automated Testing tools/methodologies, Deployment and Orchestration.
Software security and quality scanning tools (SonarQube, Twist lock etc.
) and remediation
Knowledge and experience with the following are highly desired:

$136,000-170,000
