Job Requisition: Training Analyst
Location: On-site in Port Hueneme, California
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Training Analyst with expertise in instructional system design and development, particularly within the Expeditionary and Navy Sealift Communities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing the Mission Tasking Requirements Process (MTRP) and developing Naval Tactical Standard Products (NTSPs).
Additionally, proficiency in instructional delivery strategies, methodologies, and technologies is required.
Position Description: Training Analysts are responsible for the successful development and/or modification of training programs and curricula in support of the customer and program objectives.
The Training Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform the Mission Tasking Requirements Process (MTRP) and develop Naval Tactical Standard Products (NTSPs).
Execute all phases of instructional system design and development, including planning, coordinating, implementing, revising, presenting, and maintaining training systems for the Expeditionary and Navy Sealift Communities.
Stay updated with current instructional delivery strategies, methodologies, and technologies.
Utilize training devices, technical training equipment, simulation/stimulation tools, and interactive courseware systems.
Ensure adherence to technical documentation standards and produce documents compatible with supporting information systems using PC-based documentation tools.
Possess experience in computer operations for data processing.
Document and manage training program records efficiently.
Provide cradle to grave support in the development, acceptance, and hosting of content on My Navy Portal and Moodle (Navy eLearning).
Familiarity with Content Hosting and Report Management Service (CHaRMS) processes and account management.
Collaborate with the Navy eLearning Content Team.
Demonstrate successful interaction with senior military and Government personnel.
Assist in the planning process and coordinate projects with administrators, development teams, and clients.
Conduct analyses to identify and validate training requirements, document results, and recommend alternative training strategies for decision-maker consideration.
Develop training planning data, including resource requirements, recommendations, justifications, and impacts.
Determine training considerations for functional characteristics of the training system and develop task-based training materials.
Plan meetings, prepare agendas, draft minutes, lead discussions, resolve conflicts, and keep projects on track.
Review and edit training concepts and schoolhouse management data in BCSAs and NTSPs using the HARPS tool.
Required Qualifications and Skills: US Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain “Secret” security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in performing the MTRP process and developing NTSPs.
Proficiency in instructional system design and development methodologies.
Strong technical skills and familiarity with instructional delivery technologies.
Experience with training devices, simulation/stimulation tools, and interactive courseware systems.
Knowledge of PC-based documentation tools and computer operations.
Previous experience in documenting and managing training program records.
Familiarity with My Navy Portal, Moodle (Navy eLearning), and CHaRMS processes.
Ability to interact effectively with senior military and Government personnel.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
Employment Status: Full-time (40 hours per week).
