Devil Mountain began as a seedling in Northern California in 1995.
What began as a wholesale brokerage of horticulture, the company has since opened its own growing grounds and is flourishing by recently expanding into Southern California.

CLASS A CUSTOMER DELIVERY DRIVER - JOB DESCRIPTION
The Class A Customer Delivery Driver delivers Devil Mountain’s largest inventory to customers on semi-trucks or between nurseries.
Essential Functions:
• Preforms pre and post trip inspections on Company truck, reports mechanical and maintenance issues immediately.
• Checks fluids, adds fuel to vehicles as needed.
• Ability to attach and detach loaded trailers to semi-truck.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance on truck while out on the road (such as a damaged air liner).
• Ensures the load is secure, proper tie downs are attached and estimated weight requirements are followed.
• May deliver to customers at business, residential or construction sites.
Will communicate the estimated arrival time with customers throughout the day.
• Exhibits great customer service.
Acts in a friendly and courteous manner.
• May deliver to other Devil Mountain locations to transfer plant material on designated loop route or may meet at central meeting point and swap trailers with another Devil Mountain Driver.
• May assists in loading and unloading of plant materials.
• At times, may require an overnight trip to drop materials.
• General care for the nursery grounds, keeping the nursery clean, organized, and safe for employees, customers, and vendors.
• General care for nursery stock (plants), ensures plants are watered, handled with care, and are placed in the appropriate location.
Additional Tasks:
• We may request that crane certification be obtained during employment for operation of crane truck.
• May go out and make a customer delivery in a box truck while waiting for trailer to be unloaded/reloaded.
• May assist in other nursery departments as needed
• Duties are subject to change at any time per management’s discretion.
Job Specifications:
Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions on uneven ground surfaces.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) more than 50-90% of the time.
Frequent twisting, turning, and bending at the waist will be required.
Lifting requirements: Up to 50 lbs.
25% of the time.
Up to 100 lbs.
15% of the time (team lift required).
Hand movement: Gross grasping for moving plant material.
Operation of delivery truck 50-80% of the time.
All drivers must have a valid Class A driver’s license and qualify to be insured by our auto insurance carrier.
