As a Culinary Service Director at our senior care facility, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience and overall well-being of our residents.
You will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
Additionally, you will lead a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive work environment focused on excellence, creativity, and compassion.
*Responsibilities:* Regularly update menus to provide variety and seasonal offerings, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and nutritional balance.
Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to meet budgetary goals without compromising quality.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication among team members.
*Resident Satisfaction and Engagement:* Interact with residents regularly to solicit feedback, address concerns, and accommodate individual preferences and special requests.
Organize and oversee special dining events, themed dinners, and culinary demonstrations to enhance resident satisfaction and engagement.
*Collaboration and Communication:* Collaborate with other departments, including healthcare, activities, and facilities management, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of culinary services with overall resident care and facility operations.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to provide updates on culinary initiatives, menu changes, and dining-related events.
*Qualifications:* Proven experience in culinary management, preferably in a senior care or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and special diets for seniors.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training preferred.

Requirements: * Must be at least 18 years of age.
* A high school diploma or equivalent * Must be able to operate computer and software programs * Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
* Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, residents, and their families.
* Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
* Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
