Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Manager Residency Program provides oversight for all administrative aspects of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program at St.
John’s Regional Medical Center and St.
John’s Hospital Camarillo including project development and implementation, employee interviewing, hiring, orienting and supervision, overseeing marketing and communication, managing and reconciling all program finances, including grants.
The Manager oversees all aspects of resident recruitment through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
Supports the Director Residency Program to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, National Residency Matching program (NRMP), the Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS), and the California Medical Boards.
The position is also responsible for being the liaison among administration, the teaching faculty, system hospitals and other teaching sites, professional associations, and the program affiliates which is consistent with the Mission and Values of CommonSpirit Health, Morehouse School of Medicine, and More in Common Alliance.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in health care or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in operational areas of hospitals and familiarity with the operation of Telemedicine equipment and specialized clinical equipment and accessories.
Special Skills:
Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality regulations regarding all patient and company information.
Operational management, including budget preparation, experience in administrative support of a department and demonstrated ability to manage detailed projects.
Training:
Familiarity with Graduate medical education including residency training and requirements and ACGME requirements, applicable computer software, National Match requirements, and Medicare GME related requirements preferred.
TAGME certification not required at hire but preferred within 5 years of hire.
