We are hiring a Harvest Inspection Supervisor for the Ventura/Oxnard, CA area.
The Harvest Inspection position is dedicated to the inspection and projection of current and future fields.
The main focus is on scouting for expected volumes, possible pest pressure, and communicating this data in a concise and accurate manner.
Responsibilities include daily inspections of both current and future fields that Prime Time (PTI) will harvest, creation of reports, communication of expected volumes, and identifying potential issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Scout and communicate daily and future expected volumes.
Work directly with Harvest Compliance and Analysis to accurately project the amount and quality of each PTI ranch.
Create reports that illustrate the amount and quality of each harvest.
Maintain and enforce all food safety standards and employee safety policies and procedures.
Assist in ensuring the quality and efficiency standards of PTI harvest by communicating any issues with Harvest Supervisor and QCs.
Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be highly detail-oriented.
Maintain all general safety and quality control standards.
Have ability to analyze and solve problems quickly and soundly in a fast-paced environment.
Possess clear communication skills to direct and ensure the proper harvest for the day.
Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Famous and other digital tracking programs.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Agricultural experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish highly desired.
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
