What You'll Do: Lead a collective innovation vision and work cross-functionally to establish insights, strategies, and product solutions with a focus on the needs of the communities Patagonia serves.
Establish a unified approach to engage and influence large groups of diverse stakeholders within Patagonia towards an innovation-led mindset and product creation process.
Formulate effective new ideas and innovative strategies for process improvement across the organization.
Build scalable methodology that leads to a position of innovation excellence at Patagonia.
Collaborate with cross functional partners to test new ideas and find opportunities for continuous process improvement in the Product Creation process.
Elevate and support the day-to-day management of Material Creation and Product Design Leads across Advanced Concepts, Technical, and Sportswear Teams.
Work closely with the Creative Director across multiple Patagonia Product teams to define and drive design excellence at scale.
Contribute to a product innovation roadmap strategy with executive leadership, presenting design and material innovation initiatives, progress updates, and recommendation to drive informed decision making in support of organizational objectives.
Proactively addresses operational issues and collaborates with team members to solve problems quickly and thoughtfully.
Advocate, inspire, and mentor a team of leaders; foster all team members' growth and continued development.
Provide tools to foster the greatest assets of each person and the team.

10+ years of relevant innovation, design, materials, and product creation experience.
10+ years' experience in people management positions Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor others and lead design creation.
A keen understanding of line planning and product costing is required.
Thorough understanding of and proven experience in fabric development, textile science, and sourcing required.
Knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and textiles required.
Working knowledge of personal computers with demonstrated experience in the use of such programs as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Platforms, Word, Excel, Outlook Pay range: $227,135 - $340,703 USD Annual Hiring range: $260,000- $280,000 USD Annual At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location-specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys.
