We are currently looking to hire an exceptional Property Manager (Material Control) to provide inventory oversight to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division’s (NAWCWD) PTMO (Pacific Target and Marine Operations) program at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, CA.
The position will be focused on managing a complete inventory of all equipment, material, and property used in the scope of the contract, including receipt of new aerial and seaborne assets.
Items in inventory are stored in multiple locations at Point Mugu (Aerial assets) and Port Hueneme (Seaborne assets).
Primary Duties: Serve as the central point of contact for property management and control, acquisition, receipt and records, physical inventories, utilization, movement and storage, and required reports for government-furnished property and contractor-acquired property.
Monitor and maintain the TMIS database (used as the property control system) to protect, preserve, and account for government-furnished property from acquisition to utilization and/or disposal.
Manage the day-to-day operation of material control and property administration.
Ensure GFP/GFE are properly categorized, identified, barcoded, and tracked in TMIS.
Maintain close liaisons with various managers, supervisors, technical advisors, sub-contractors and the GPA to resolve property-related management challenges and issues.
Monitor property control functions and ensure that required documentation, processes and reports are properly maintained, executed, and/or submitted.
Chair, supervise and monitor required annual physical inventory and submit the final report.
Additional Duties: Other duties required include (but may not be limited to) special assignments from management along with some forklift operations, and the maintenance of HAZMAT standards and the safe and effective use of PPE and small hand tools.
Work Conditions: Conditions will vary but outdoor duties may be performed on shore or afloat and on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet.
Requires the ability to work in a seaborne environment with some shift work at remote locations with multiple overnight assignments.
Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Work Schedule is currently 9/80 schedule (Mon – Thurs 9 hours, alternating Fridays between 8 hrs.

Requirements: Education/Experience/Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have prior experience working in the Navy Supply system and SECNAVINST 7320.
10A, Department of the Navy (DON) Personal Property Policies and Procedures manual.
Must have an expert level of understanding of all Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
It will be necessary to be able to learn and support databased tracking and functionality.
Previous documented experience in the logistical field and with management is required.
Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.

DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
