Wage band range $16.
00 - $20.
00 per hour; however, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.
Under the direction of the Specials Events Manager and/or Community Event Coordinator provides clerical support, fundraising activities, holiday donations and works with various volunteers.
This is a short-term internship.
Carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it pertains to providing administrative and clerical support to the operations at Casa Pacifica.
Position will be temporary part-time and anticipated through mid January 2024.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities): Manage all “POD runs”, organization and labeling of PODs Support staff in preparing, writing and delivering holiday doves Support staff in logging, storing and organizing holiday gifts Support staff in obtaining children’s wish lists, managing wish lists as gifts arrive, and arrange and coordinate cottage shopping dates, and assist staff in matching wish lists Support and help manage volunteers Reach out to previous donors as needed May perform other duties as needed EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: This position is ideal for a student looking for an internship majoring in Business Administration, Communications, and Marketing Communications, Sociology or concentrating in Event Planning & Management.
CREDENTIALS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
Position requires a working knowledge and ability in utilizing various social media marketing platforms helpful.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a range of people.
Detailed orientated, excellent organization skills be self-motivated, energetic and flexible.
Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
Position requires the ability to be a team player with a commitment to relationship-building for the agency.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid California driver’s license and insurability through Casa Pacifica’s automobile policy.
Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements.
Ability to work as a team player and with a diverse population.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Communication Skills: Strong social and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
: Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Driving Ability: Have and maintain a current California driver's license.
Maintain eligibility for the Casa Pacifica “Approved Driver’s List”.
