Supervises the SAP VC/Data Team, including analyzing, correcting, creating, and changing critical master data, for creation and management of BOM structure and object dependencies, for establishment of pricing based on region and other characteristics, and for Engineering Record (ER) activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervision of the Data Team and all associated activities including: The creation of top level BOM structures for Engineering.
Implementation and management of special pricing arrangements by region, dealer, sales organization, etc.
Programming of logic/rules within SAP to ensure machines are configured correctly.
Review and actions associated with ERs.
Review and actions associated with Product Definition Forms (PDs).
Technical support to other areas of the business that is related to Data Team responsibilities.
Utilizes diplomacy and tact in balancing Data Team activities between the sometimes-varying objectives of Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and other Departments.
Continuous improvement of quality of data in SAP.
Continuous improvement of Variant Configuration quality.
Implement improvements in VC design at Haas.
Publish Processes, Procedures, and Standards to add or change Variant Configuration objects.
Debug a wide area of the system including; materials, BOM items, configurable BOM’s, configuration profiles, routings, assignments, and testing methods.
Streamlining of business processes.
Master both functional and technical aspects of the SAP Platform at Haas.
Ensures accuracy of machine variant configurations in support of the Master Schedule.
Ensures that master data driving all business processes integrate with no conflict into a single company-wide business system.
Establishing the ongoing strategy for Variant Configuration throughout the company.
Analyze, correct, create and change Characteristics, Configuration Profiles, Object Dependencies and all duties associated with Classification for the global Haas enterprise.
The VC team is responsible for defining the BOM structure, the planning process and the method that we will sell and market our products to our customers.
They will publish the BOM structure and get a sign off from the Engineering Department.
The VC team also supports the maintenance of the Master Schedule by creating and configuring new variants, and modifying and validating existing variants Provide user support and troubleshoot issues with configuration management software.
Monitor configuration management processes.
Create and maintain documentation for tools used to support configuration management.
Establish and Maintain quality of data in SAP.
Monitor/maintain data integration with BI/BW Reporting system.
Establish and Maintain quality of VC objects in SAP.
Monitor/maintain integration with Dealer Portal.
Monitor/maintain other applications and systems as assigned.
Use skills to delivery high quality work product in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively both horizontally with peers and customers, and vertically with management.
Publish a BOM structure for each frame.
Create OD and selections rules for all BOM’s.
Attach the rules to BOM’s.
Creation and maintenance of machine variant configurations.
Create materials and maintain the critical fields in material master.
Create BPP’s for users.
Independently enter complex ER changes into SAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Training of less experienced personnel within the department.

Responsible for providing data for procurement, master scheduling, MRP planning and forecasting methodology; Warehousing, Inventory Management; Engineering Change Management, Quality Management processes, both internal manufacturing and external supplier, Sales, Service, Product defects/Return to Vendor; global statutory requirements, Procurement, customs duties/VAT/Taxation, Materials Management, Variant Configuration, Bills of Material, and Equipment Records.
Knowledge of Haas products Desired Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
