Requisition ID: 72526 Description As a Process Engineer, you will support the GaAs Fab in 24x7 production operation environment.
The scope of work involves sustaining and improving compound semiconductor Thru Wafer Via (TWV) Etch and Strip processes for current technology as well as working with development team on the new technologies to ensure tool and processes are optimized.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing/improving process control by use of FDC and SPC methods.
You will also work in team environment to drive improvement in tool capability, to reduce visual defects, electrical failures, number of held lots and to disposition of held lots in timely manner.
Responsibilities Sustain TWV Etch and Strip processes to prevent visual and electrical issues.
Improve TWV Etch and Strip processes to reduce cost and increase yield.
Implement and improve tool/process outlier detection by use of FDC and SPC methods.
Review of metrology, AOI, electrical, SPC and FDC trends.
Reduction of held lots and timely disposition of held lots.
Responsible for defining and establishing Process Documentation, including Work Instructions and Process Controls.
Will collaborate with the Manufacturing teams to support required KPIs, Goals and Objectives and makes Problem Solving a priority for Manufacturing support.
Required Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline, with 2 years' experience, or master's degree in science or engineering discipline with no experience.
Possess knowledge of core engineering principles; be detailed oriented and metrics driven.
Ability to work and communicate with other teams.
Be a collaborative team player with strong process understanding and process improvement capabilities.
Able to quickly troubleshoot and find root cause using methodology such as Six Sigma.
Ability to good exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action needed to resolve lot issues.
Be able to work in fast paced production environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills Minimum of 2 years' clean room hands-on experience.

S.
is currently USD $74,800 - $135,400 per year.
Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.
S.
