a new start-up horse rescue, not-for-profit is looking for help and is offering free equestrian services: riding lessons, pony rides, summer camps, and for some very experienced riders the opportunity to exercise some of our horses.
What we are looking for and must be qualified for whichever various job listed below :
1- bookkeeper/ accountant to help us set up the bookkeeping and/or an accountant who can at least guide/direct/oversee that we are on the right track.
2- website design and hosting- while we have a Godaddy website we are hoping to have a website that is a bit more elegant with a few key features that our current site doesn't have (ie;forms that can be completed and saved on the site without a subscription to a 3rd party, better calendar scheduling & payment app)
3- social media manager/PR Marketing person or personas - keeping the IG, FB and other social media platforms current
4- a grant writer-
5- general knowledge of running a 501(c)(3).
This is a great opportunity to help get involved with a worthwhile cause thats local right here in OXNARD.
Our charity is a double benefit to the horses as well as to the community- offering horsemanship, riding lessons, pony rides, and other various forms of hippotherapy to all in-need right within our local Oxnard community.
The low membership costs, help provide our horses the necessary care needed while they continue to bring smiles to the beginner lesson/ pony rides as well as also providing some of the riding services for those who otherwise may not be able to do so.
Our belief :
ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY CREATES HONORABLE POSITIONS FOR HORSES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.
HORSES CAN HELP HUMANS ONLY WHERE HUMANS CAN ACCESS HORSES
DRIVEN TO HELP HORSES SO IN TURN THEY CAN HELP HEAL HUMANS THROUGH PAIRED INTERACTIONS WITH ECOLOGICALLY SOUND EQUESTRIAN PRACTICES.
We have plans for free pony ride days for low-income housing areas and so many other wonderful ideas that could benefit both horses and humans.
But we need some help getting the above-listed completed so that the founders, horse trainers/ riding instructors can get back to rescuing/retraining/teaching on the other skilled labor side of this start-up going.
