The Senior Financial Analyst will be a direct support to several shared service functions and global departments in the management of budgets and forecasts, establishment and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), and the execution of recurring and ad-hoc analyses of a strategic nature.
The role requires the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with business leaders at senior levels to deliver meaningful analyses and output to support decision making.
This role requires highly developed analytical skills, strong GAAP and Finance knowledge, demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas clearly, independent problem-solving skills, drive to apply innovative thinking to routine work, flexible strategic thinking, and a proactive and positive disposition.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Continuously and creatively improve upon five-year forecasting models based upon the business drivers, strategic framework(s), and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the specific function.
Collaborate with Management to establish, track, and report on meaningful and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency, risk mitigation, cost controls, and operational excellence.
Compile narratives around business results; provide analyses that truly explain, not just recap, variances and articulate insights based upon those results to derive and/or drive forward looking operational improvements and cost saving opportunities.
Significantly contribute to the financial statement packages, schedules, and dashboards provided to Management forums.
Create new, complex financial models in Excel that require deep understanding of the business and facilitate decision making at an Executive level.
Based upon key stakeholder requirements, design and build dynamic Power BI dashboards, and maintain existing dashboards; proactively work with the business to ensure dashboards provide impactful and timely business intelligence while critically evaluating and refining output to reflect current business needs.
Prepare detailed analyses of expenses within the consolidated and divisional P&Ls; articulate insights into cost drivers and the key performance indicators that relate to them.
Facilitate planning and forecasting processes; ensure alignment with planning assumptions by business unit over various planning horizons.
Work closely with internal technical resources on maintenance and continuous improvement of systems and tools, including resolving data integrity issues that impact our output, while being a positive, action oriented, and supportive change agent.
Source and reconcile data from multiple systems to create meaningful analyses and timely deliverables on an ad-hoc basis, even with tight deadlines.
Collaborate with others to improve data management processes and tools.
Deliver upon any ad-hoc projects and strategic analyses as required by business needs.
Pursue timely and effective change management practices for system and manual process improvements.
Maintain clear and very detailed procedures so they may be replicated.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance required.
MBA highly preferred.
CPA or CMA with public accounting and/or private company audit experience a plus.
Minimum of 10 years related work experience.
Excellent computer skills and software proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Advanced Excel skills.
Proficient in creating pivots and utilizing Excel “vlookup”, “hlookup”, “sumif”, and “sumproduct” functions.
Hands on experience with COGNOS a plus.
Highly skilled with Power BI output design and development a plus.
Language, Reasoning, Analytical & Mathematical Skills Superior ability to apply independent reasoning and problem solving skills to derive creative solutions to problems.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work effectively under competing deadlines.
Positive attitude with a high tolerance for imperfect data or ambiguity.
Superior communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and Management.

Aptitude for learning and developing new procedures.
Ability to extract, assess, reconcile and refine data from various stand-alone systems.
Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality, particularly given the sensitivity of data this role will directly manage.
