*Ventura Missionary Church* *Next Steps Coordinator I* Job Description *Job Title: *Next Steps Coordinator I *Reports To: *Next Steps Director *Classification: *Part-Time Non-Exempt *Job Description* The purpose of the Next Steps Coordinator I is to work with the Next Steps team to help our congregation live and share the transforming love of Jesus by providing support in coordinating the various ministries of Next Steps.
*Primary Responsibilities *_ __This is a working list and may be adjusted at any time by the supervisor.
_ *Operational Support:* · Manage the printing, binding, ordering, and distribution of books · Answer questions and give information to visitors in the lobby on selected Sundays · Assist in creating, printing, cutting, and distributing promotional materials · Assist with room scheduling and provide directions to group participants during kick-off weeks · Coordinate kick-off events, Worship/Prayer nights, and Celebration nights *Discipleship Pathway Support:* · Set up, provide snacks, clean up, and assist with coordinating all functions for the morning groups · Set up rooms each week, including handing out/collecting leader materials for the evening groups · Plan and organize serve experiences for small groups with local ministries *Ministry Event Coordination:* · Facilitate baptism events, including book printing, room setup, and Deaconess support · Manage RSVPs, food orders, and coordination of events, including events for senior adults · Assist in planning and coordination of Prayer/Worship Nights *Kick Off / Launch Week Events:* · Support leader training, order food, distribute materials, and handle setup and cleanup for Elevate Leader Training · Coordinate with the Events Team for Welcome Lunch; order food, assist with training materials, and manage setup and cleanup · Assist in Men's and Women's Event coordination, including setup and cleanup · Provide support for special weekend services and party planning events *Relationships* This position will report directly to the Next Steps Director and work alongside the Next Steps team.
*Other Responsibilities:* · Manage Women's Radiant Instagram posts · Oversee the volunteer process, including background checks, applications, and reference checks · Facilitate the connection process, and enter data into the HUB (our data base platform) · Support the baptism process · Coordinate with Pastors and Deacons for pastoral care and benevolence requests · Assist with scheduling volunteers and manage Front of House inventory for Weekend Services *Minimum Qualifications* · Must be able to complete and pass employment background check.
· The Next Steps Coordinator I needs to agree with Ventura Missionary Church’s Statement of Faith and agree to employment subject to and conditioned upon, a lifestyle consistent with that Statement of Faith.
· This position must have a philosophy of ministry that is aligned with Scripture, with our Statement of Faith, and with our Core Values and Vision.
· Have a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior, and believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living.
· Be or be willing to become a member of Ventura Missionary Church.
· Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech and actions towards others.
· 2+ years administrative experience (preferred).

*Compensation* The compensation for this position will be determined based on established salary ranges for the Next Steps Coordinator I, which is listed on the compensation schedule as $18.
76-$19.
50 per hour.
Experience and education will be considered when determining hourly pay.
This position will be 20-28 hours per week.
*Appraisal and Review* This position will receive a 90-day review and an annual review from the Next Steps Director.
The reviews will be in written form, using a review document approved by the Human Resources Department.
Each review will (1) set objectives and goals for the coming year, and (2) review performance and ministry objectives from previous year.
