Vintage set of 7 McGuffey's Readers - $50 (Oak View)

Vintage Set of 7 McGUFFEY'S ECLECTIC READERS: Eclectic Primer and First Reader thru Sixth Reader / Copyright 1909-1920 This is a nice set of hard bound McGuffey's Readers, which were used to teach reading to children during the 19th and early 20th century.
They would be great for any home school program, as well as to own as a piece of Americana.
My mother used these to supplement my public school education, and as a result, I was reading far ahead of my grade level.
The original copyright dates are in the late 1800's and these particular Readers are revised editions with copyright dates between in 1909 and 1920, except for the 6th one, which is 1921.
They were all published by the American Book Company of New York: McGuffey's ECLECTIC PRIMER Revised edition published in 1909 McGuffey's FIRST ECLECTIC READER Revised edition published in 1920 McGuffey's SECOND ECLECTIC READER - Revised edition published in 1920 McGuffey's THIRD ECLECTIC READER Revised edition published in 1920 McGuffey's FOURTH ECLECTIC READER Revised edition published in 1920 McGuffey's FIFTH ECLECTIC READER Revised edition published in 1920 McGuffey's SIXTH ECLECTIC READER Revised edition published in 1921 They are used but still in very good condition, with all pages intact, and the spines are still tight.
They have been not been written in except for a name on the first blank page of the Primer and the Second Reader, and the edges show some wear due to their age.
