In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance graphics applications using OpenGL for various defense and commercial applications.
You will work closely with a team of talented engineers to design, implement, and optimize real-time 3D rendering and visualization features.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software applications
Work effectively as part of a team with a technical lead providing guidance and oversight
Provide and receive feedback in code reviews to maintain high code quality and adherence to coding standards
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and practices
Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation that improve the stability, performance, and quality of the software
Identify and resolve software defects and performance issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies
This is a remote position with travel requirement as needed to various customer sites.
Requirements
Necessary skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
3 years of experience in programming, engineering, or related work
Proficiency in Java, C++, or similar object-oriented programming language
Proficiency with OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL)
Proficiency with linear algebra
Familiarity with Model View Projection transformations
Familiarity with OpenGL rendering pipeline
Version control systems, such as Git
Build tools, such as Gradle or Maven
Experience driving technical decisions, including the ability to break down problems, identify solutions, and communicate the process and conclusions to an engineering team
Initiative and the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
Ability to communicate effectively via multiple mediums and with management, co-workers, and customers, both technical and non-technical
Proficiency in writing clean code and leveraging best practices for implementation, documentation, and testing
The ability to obtain a US security clearance post start date.
