Guest Service Agent

*Guest Service Agent* *Holiday Inn Express and Suites *has an exciting opportunity for a Guest Service Agent at our Ventura, CA location.
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring guest satisfaction through the hotel’s services.
This position will also assist in the development of new sales and service strategies for the hotel by working with the General Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Sale Manager and Maintenance.
*Essential Functions:* * Greet guests and provide a warm, welcoming environment * Answer incoming calls and emails in a professional manner; relay messages to appropriate parties * Provide accurate and timely information to guests via phone, email, or in-person * Assist guests with any questions or problems that may arise during their stay; provide solutions if possible * Take reservations and provide accurate information to guests * Process payments (cash and credit cards) * Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager, Housekeeping Manager, or Guest Services Manager * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Follow all health and safety standards set by the company or government requirements Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with ability to learn new software quickly.
* Must have Opera experience.
* Ability to work well under pressure; ability to problem solve quickly.
* Ability to communicate effectively with others; ability to build rapport with guests.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.
