Customer Operations Specialist YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES As a Customer Operations Specialist at our Oxnard, CA site, you will be responsible for internal critical processes that enable the customer experience.
Individuals in this role focus on tactical tasks; reviewing analytics, maintaining operational excellence in order flow, and they partner with Customer Interface and other internal departments.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Customer Operations Specialist, are to: Responsible for order validation in SAP, ensuring that customers' shipping and billing instructions are properly followed and executed, and that pricing, payment terms, and discount conditions indicated by Customer Interface are applied accurately; Responsible for batch selection in SAP, utilizing FIFO rules to guide allocation and selection decisions; Responsible for order maintenance and management of hold codes in SAP through delivery, interfacing with Inventory Management, Manufacturing and other internal partners to overcome supply, quality, capacity, and timing challenges.
Follows-up on pending orders until they are cleared and released; Responsible for executing any changes to existing orders in SAP as necessary and requested by customer, and as communicated by Customer Interface counterparts; Responsible for order delivery creation in SAP (for applicable plants and regions); Executes all credit, debit, return, and rebate processing transactions in SAP as communicated by Customer Interface via case in the CRM tool; Partners with Customer Interface account owners to support business needs, meet delivery targets, and complete order processing activities, ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery; Clearly communicates acknowledgement of all operational requests, sets expectations of request completion to stakeholders, and follows-up with status updates via the CRM tool; Proactively escalates system and process issues impacting Operational Excellence to Team lead or Process & Governance counterparts; Adheres to proper communication flows and processes, utilizing the CRM tool, when sharing internal business information (i.

Order, supply, delivery, information); Partners with the Trade & Compliance team to ensure proper documentation and requirement needs are met, and proactively obtain documents needed for export; Adheres to regional Service Level Agreements for order processing and other operational tasks; Responsible for accuracy of all SAP generated Order to Cash (OTC) documents; Understands relevant KPIs and metrics for the role and department, maintains ongoing knowledge of current performance, and proactively strives to close performance gaps in partnership with Team Lead; Manages material master data requests to Master Data team for SAP data updates; Control, knowledge, and adherence to all pertinent QMS and SOX processes and documentation, and supports the team in updating and creating Operations-related documents as appropriate or requested by Team Lead or Process & Governance counterparts; Understands ongoing supply status related to their customer base, region, or crop of expertise; Participate in Campaign teams to coordinate required operational processes to prepare inventory for shipment (as specified by region); Participates in S&OP process as defined by manager to promote ongoing understanding of supply and optimization of resources.

more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required qualifications: High School Diploma required; Previous experience working in teams; Strong time management & organizational skills; Effective verbal & written communication skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously; Works with a sense of urgency and ensures data accuracy; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; Country/area language plus English (EMEA, SAM, MEX).
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field or 2 years of relevant customer service, sales or supply chain experience; Experience working in SAP; Advanced Excel skills and experience performing analysis in Excel.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $48,200 to $72,400.
Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
