Job Description Join the Clean Energy Revolution Become a Dispatcher Clerk at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow.
In this job, you will perform dispatching activities utilizing computer systems such as the outage management system, SAP and meter order activities in order to prioritize, assign and dispatch orders.
As a Dispatcher Clerk, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone.

Must be willing and able to work holidays, weekends, graveyard, swing and day shift as needed .
Contacts customers to arrange for service to be performed; updates outage information (OMS).
Supports storm order activities through the identification of problems affected by circuit outages.
Assigns and updates orders to crews including trouble orders; arranges customer callbacks.
Establishes, reviews and maintains logs.
Analyzes and updates distribution system performance and trends.
Maintains confidential customer information with a high degree of accuracy and dependability.
Communicates with customers, management and crew members with tact and courtesy.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications The essentials One year of customer service experience.
The preferred One year of experience in a dispatch and/or call center environment utilizing computer, phone, radio systems to prioritize, assign, and dispatch orders.
Accurately enter data in a high pace environment.
Process calls in a timely manner; monitor radio, telephone and other electronic communications to provide accurate, concise and relevant information.
Understand and utilize proper notification procedures according to protocol.
Monitor circuit interruptions, area outages, customer calls.
Provide thorough and accurate shift change information.
Emergency Response & Accident prevention procedures and manuals and/or safety procedure systems.
Interpreting geographical maps (e.
g.
, Distribution Circuit Maps) Distribution equipment system call out process and telephone systems.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

These are the available work shifts.
Swing shifts are eligible for differential pay: SWING 2:30pm – 11:00pm GRAVEYARD 10:30pm to 7am Testing This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email.
