JOB TITLE: Driver (Dial-A-Ride)
DEPARTMENT: Operations & Quality
REPORTS TO: Driver Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Show up to work on time.
- Report to work in the proper driver attire
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle
- Map out most efficient route to pick up clients
- Operate various types of vehicles, as assigned, safely in all types of weather and traffic conditions
- Safely transport all passengers including those with special needs
- Safely and securely operate wheelchair lifts with proper safety restraints as requested by the customer
- Adhere to all regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Escort passengers on and off the vehicle
- Provide the best customer service possible
- Radio communication of transport details to Dispatch
- Complete all paperwork and trip sheets accurately, completely, and legibly
- Report all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences to Dispatch immediately with follow-up written reports as required
- Follow all rules, policies, and procedures of the Company
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- All other duties as directed by the Driver Manager or other members of management
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic math skills to accurately receive fares from clients
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to sit for extended periods
- Able to push/pull occupied wheelchair onboard and off the vehicle
- Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $16.
