Nicely restored FULLY AUTOMATIC precision Direct Drive stereo turntable.
New Audio Technica stylus, tune-up, and surface polishing.
This is a vintage early 80's era classic vinyl player.
For those in the know, the LAB 440 was Radio Shack's top of the line turntable back in 1982 when it sold for $219.
95.
A very decent turntable, and was made in Japan by CEC who also made turntables for Marantz, Fisher and several others.
Straight tone arm, with really smooth up-and-down lever on the outside of the plexi case.
This is a great deck because all controls, except anti-skate, are on the outside front and easily accessible without lifting the lid.
Makes it very convenient to have pitch control, speed, size, especially start and stop on the front outside.
Whether your an avid or casual vinyl listener like I am, you will appreciate the full autos ability to automatically lift and move tone arm back to cradle and turn off all on its own when your record is finished.
Newly buffed & polished lid, but still shows some wear
and scuffs from years of previous ownership.
Currently missing lid hinges, so price is negotiable.
No hurry to sell.
