Salary Range: $71.

00 / hour The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate.
Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.
Responsibilities: Position Overview: Provide overall administrative direction and leadership for clinical staff, in a specified clinical area of the hospital including Oncology, Medical/Surgical Care, Staffing Resources/Float Pool.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Director will manage one or more subordinate manager/supervisor who manages/supervises a total of 50 – 150 employees in the single or multiple nursing units.
Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Financial - Ability to prepare department budgets, including the ability and understanding of budget analysis and reconciliation.
Responds to changes in census or other external factors which requires corrective actions to the budget.
Conforms to budget by maintaining levels of expenses and employee productivity.
Plans and organizes activities related to specified clinical services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standards of medical, nursing care and hospital or center administrative procedures.
Effective Management – Will lead and participate in the analysis, planning and strategic planning and formation of clinical program goals.
Performs duties in a manner to provide value to the organization through effort and positive attitude.
Creates a positive work environment which is free from discrimination.
Able to problem solve in an inclusive manner taking into consideration others views and feedback.
Maintains full compliance with various regulations including Title 22, DHS, DNV and all applicable State, Federal and Local Laws.
Recommends acquisition of capital equipment.
Management of Human Resources - Engages and manages staff in a manner that creates positive, safe and growth oriented environment.
Complies with policies related to evaluations, competencies, employee health and wage and salary.
Maintains an acceptable level of turnover and reduces turnover through effective management practices.
Implements staff development and education appropriate to the setting and reflective of changes in the environment of care.
Communicates effectively with employees in a timely manner and is sensitive to the communication needs of employees on all shifts.
Able to support staff in obtaining their professional goals.
Provides coaching to help employees improve performance and when necessary follows progressive disciplinary policies and procedures in a manner that protects the rights of the individual and the organization.
Performance Improvement - Identifies opportunities for improvement and establishes performance improvement goals.
Reports results in a timely manner.
Customer Satisfaction - Displays a strong commitment to excellence in customer satisfaction.
Demonstrates the ability to understand patient satisfaction data and develop Action Plans to correct the deficit.
Environment of Care - Provides an environment that is safe for patients and is in compliance with the national patient safety initiative.
Ensure staff are educated in the seven environments of care.
Meets safety inspection criteria.
Reduces work related injuries by creating an atmosphere which promotes 1safety and where safety rules are enforced.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor Degree in Nursing Current CA Registered Nurse License Current BLS Certification Five to seven years of progressive nursing experience in an acute care setting Two years in a management role Preferred: Masters in a healthcare related field Overview: Community Memorial Health System was established in 2005 when Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura merged with Ojai Valley Community Hospital.
