Position Summary Bioscience and Water Filtration Division provides filtration, automated systems, sensing, and single use solutions to Biopharm, Food and Beverage, and High Purity markets as well as reverse osmosis systems, pre-filtration and membranes, and accessories to Government, Commercial & Foreign Defense, and Leisure markets.
We are looking for a Division EHS Manager to lead, manage and coordinate all aspects of division goals and objectives in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).
Responsibilities - Drive a safety culture for all levels in the organization.
- Develop and implement programs and procedures to meet Division objectives and targets in EHS.
Key focus points include: • Accident Prevention • EHS Regulatory Compliance • Energy management and use reduction • Waste Minimization • Management Systems (as required) - Coordinate all EHS training.
- Support and manage corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits.
- Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under corporate direction manage EPA actions such as, but not limited to, NOV’s, cleanups and complaints.
- Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under their direction manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance, informal conferences.
- Complete all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain necessary EHS records.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives.
- Lead ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Support customer EHS requirements (surveys, questionnaires, compliance) - Develop, measure and track internal EHS metrics, plans and goals.
- Report directly to division management and at staff meetings on EHS matters.
- Ensure the training of new facility EHS Coordinators.
- Attend biannual EHS Conference or annual Country council meetings.
- Direct the division’s waste management (recycling) program.
- Support and Integrate EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.
Qualifications Qualifications - BS Degree in a technical field, preferably EHS - A strong working knowledge of EHS regulations (preferred knowledge of CAL-OSHA and other California regulations).
- Experience with hazardous chemicals preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a plus.
- 5+ years of applicable experience - Can work independently.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ensure the safety of employees and protection of the environment while also meeting the needs of production and the business.
- Ability to plan and implement EHS programs.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with management as well as associates from the floor.
- Must be able to travel and work out of the office.
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California.
Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range: $113,579/annually - $156,201/annually.
Conditions of Employment This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
