Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will assist in maintaining and ensuring the aesthetics and décor of all guest rooms and public areas so as to meet the established standards of OVIS.
This individual will be responsible for the management of the HVAC SYSTEMS and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
This position will lead and organize the maintenance schedule of all mechanical equipment on property.
This includes ordering supplies and scheduling with vendors to do yearly maintenance contracts.
Essential: A minimum of 3 years Project Management experience that includes supervising staff and contractors, preferably in a 4-5 Diamond hotel.
Strong knowledge of design elements.
Must have self-driven initiative with ability to assess, prioritize and organize while maintaining attention to detail.
Must be focused on goal accomplishment and timely completion.
Ability to anticipate and implement changes to programs as needed to meet objectives.
Strong knowledge of correct craftsmanship Proven ability to organize and juggle multiple tasks at one time.
Proven success in communication skills that are articulate, constructive, and proactive.
Emotional maturity and judgment, ability to remain calm, cool and act in a professional manager in potentially challenging situations.
Ability to work cohesively and positively with other departments as part of a team.
Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment Ability to work effectively in a multicultural workforce.
A proven leader/ role model who conducts business with a high sense of integrity and honesty.
Computer literate in Word/Excel/Addaco/Knowcross Desirable: Knowledge of Hotel Law Knowledge of Budget Preparation Knowledge and ability to execute an emergency plan.
Previous training in guest service.
