SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Regional Programs Officer and participates as a member of the Executive Team.
Requires an experienced leader to help us develop and implement culturally responsive, strengths-based, best practice mental health and trauma treatment (MHTT) services for the community.
The director oversees the daily operations, development and sustainability, implementation of systems and processes, evaluation, strategic planning and administration of assigned department programs and services.
Responsibilities include supervision of all program staff and volunteers, MHTT service sites, service delivery, administrative activities, budget oversight, resource allocation, and contract compliance including performance-based contracts.
DUTIES:
Demonstrate progressive leadership skills in coordination with collaborating teams and community partners.
Implements best practice programs and services.
Recruit, hire, retain, monitor, develop, evaluate and manage the program staff, volunteers and contractors.
Provide ongoing coaching, training, development and disciplinary measures when necessary.
Provide budget oversight of assigned programs.
Monitor service delivery, staff productivity, program objectives and efficiency of operations.
Ensure compliance with state and contractual mandates.
Participate in strategic planning process and development of agency and program policies, objectives and budgets.
Support department development and sustainability through grant writing and fundraising efforts.
Research and develop funding sources for the department programs.
Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with public and private community agencies in marketing and promotion of agency services.
Represent the agency at senior level meetings, taskforces, policy forums, workgroups or committees as assigned.
Analyze and compile monthly reports and statistics.
Ensure development of program policy and procedure manuals and their execution.
Initiate contract renewals with subcontractors in collaboration with the finance department.
Collaborate with internal and external evaluators to ensure evaluation plans are in place and on track.
Manage service sites, facility/equipment needs, supplies/materials and department safety program.
Collaborate and coordinate integration of services with executive team, leadership team and staff.
Support the design and implementation of effective, respectful, and high-quality services that are congruent with and responsive to the diverse cultural needs of the community.
Lead in an accountable way demonstrating cultural sensitivity, attunement, and responsiveness.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements include a MA/MS/MSW or equivalent degree to meet the California BBS Associate registration with 5 years management experience in community-based agencies or related field.
LMFT, LCSW, Ph.
D.
licensed with minimum 2 years clinical supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of budget development and analysis, grant writing, team building, statistics, problem solving, systems development and information systems.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, OneDrive and virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Prior experience working with system partners including law enforcement, child welfare, behavioral health and schools.
Knowledge of evidence based and best practice principles, program evaluation, outcomes and performance metrics.
Demonstrate excellent organizational, personnel management, problem solving and negotiation skills, building and maintaining community partnerships, written and oral communications skills.
Must be familiar with mandatory child abuse reporting requirements.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Successful background and criminal clearance required and maintained, including but not limited to California Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, Child Abuse Index and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
Proof of a valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, proof of automobile insurance (listed as covered), pass and maintain driving approval as required by our insurer.
