Pay Range: $140,000-$169,000 Annual, depending on qualifications.

QA Manager We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Manager to join our dynamic team.
As the QA Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through effective leadership and hands-on experience in QA automation.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, passionate about quality assurance, and possess a strong desire for continual improvement.
This position reports to the Software Engineering Manager and is primarily remote.
However, occasional in-office work will be required at our Ventura County, CA office.

• Define QA strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership: • Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Strategic QA Planning: • Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to align QA goals with overall business objectives.

Agile Methodology: • Actively participate in Agile development process, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Remote Collaboration: • Effectively communicate and collaborate with remote team members using video conferencing, chat, and project management tools.
5.
Test Planning: • Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure test plans cover all aspects of the software, including functional, performance, security, and usability testing.

Test Execution Oversight: • Oversee the execution of test cases and test scripts.
• Monitor and analyze test results, identifying and prioritizing issues.
7.
Automation Strategy: • Develop and implement an effective test automation strategy to improve testing efficiency.
• Identify areas where automation can be applied and lead the automation effort.

Tool Selection and Management: • Evaluate, select, and manage testing tools and frameworks.
• Ensure that testing tools align with the organization's needs and goals.

Quality Metrics and Reporting: • Define and track key quality metrics.
• Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders.
• Use metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.

Continuous Improvement: • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Act as a bridge between operations, development, and QA, promoting effective communication.

Compliance and Standards: • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Stay informed about changes in technology, testing methodologies, and industry trends.
13.
Training and Development: • Provide training and development opportunities for QA team members.
• Keep the team updated on the latest testing techniques and methodologies.
Qualifications: • Be a team player.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA Manager or in a similar leadership role.
• Strong background in QA automation, with practical experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Proven experience in transitioning from a principally manual testing environment to a primarily automated, DevOps focused testing environment • Proficient with industry-standard QA tools and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Enthusiastic about quality assurance, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
• Demonstrated commitment to continual improvement and staying updated on QA best practices.

• Speaking/Hearing: Ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening.
• Dexterity and ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects for significant portions of the workday.
