POSITION/TITLE: Quality Control Inspector
SUMMARY:
Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with heavy equipment, power tools and measuring devices in a production environment.
Inspect and may assist in testing products to ensure they meet technical specifications.
Assisists to ensure that products meet the quality standards of materials and workmanship as set forth by quality assurance, development, engineering, company procedures, standards, methods, practices, operations, and safety.
The Quality Control Inspector is reliable and detail oriented.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Primary Task – Quality Inspection ( measuring, and evaluating equipment to BendPak drawings)
• Processing Information -- Compiling, tabulating, auditing, verifying, or processing information or data.
Intermediate knowledge of precise measurements (i.
e.
micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
)
• Analyzing Data or Information -- Strong problem solving and basic math skills.
May Interact with vendors and customers.
• Documenting/Recording Information -- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in either written or digital form.
Working with other departments with issues and concerns of all products.
• Support creation and maintenance of proper quality control program documentation (Parts, Assemblies and Packaging).
• Communicating With Other Workers -- Providing information to supervisors, fellow workers, subordinates, and other departments.
This information can be exchanged face-to-face, in writing, or via telephone/electronic transfer.
• Assisting with RMA’s process when needed.
• Organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
• Assists in loading, unloading and moving equipment and products.
• May assist in preparing special lifts for Shows, VIP customers or at the request of management.
• May participate and support in projects or other duties as needed related to Quality Control.
REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Understanding of blue prints and welding specs, working knowledge of engineering documentation such as drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and material specifications.
• Experience with welding and fabricating components preferred, but not required.
• Abilitye to us MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• The employee is regularly required to work in a warehouse, or outdoor environment which may be cold or hot depending on the season.
• The employee frequently is required to sit, walk, or stand
• Frequent use of hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, wrenches, etc.
• The employee frequently is required to lift up to 50lbs.
and pull up to 20 lbs.
• The employee frequently is required to climb up and down the forklift seat.
• Steel toed shoes must be worn at all times.
Other protective equipment (such as safety glasses and hard hat) will be provided.
• You will be exposed to hazardous materials and will be working near moving machinery (such as forklifts).
