Responsibilities: The Associate Director of Operations for the Ambulatory Medicine Division is a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of outpatient clinics within their designated region (North or South).
This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage clinical operations, support clinic managers and staff, and organizational initiatives.
This is a hands-on and highly engaged role that demands a strong presence in the field, with the expectation of being onsite at clinics for 80% of the time.
This individual will be responsible for advancing integration and support management of the day-to-day operations of all CMH outpatient clinics within their respective regions.
The Associate Director plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care services, optimizing clinic operations, and fostering a culture of excellence within the division across our Hospital Outpatient Department clinics, MSO clinics, Rural Health Clinics, and Graduate Medical Education clinics.
This Associate Director will report directly to the Senior Director of Ambulatory Medicine Operations.
Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Five (5) years of management experience in an ambulatory or similar healthcare setting Current Driving License Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the CMHS insurance coverages Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and leading clinical quality improvement strategies and programs across an outpatient health system Foundational understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, billing and best practices Proven leadership skills and experience managing multi-provider, multi-site medical practices Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions, especially related to finance Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Management experience in a large, complex ambulatory integrated multi-provider, multi-site medical practice environment Proficiency in implementing and utilizing healthcare technology solutions for enhanced operational workflows Position requires regional travel and onsite presence at clinics within the assigned region (North or South) for 80% of the time.
Home office will be located at Ambulatory Medicine Administration Office at Maple Court.

Collaborate closely with clinic managers to support their operational needs and objectives.
Advancing Key Initiatives to Drive Value: Assist clinic managers and project manager in advancing quality improvement, patient satisfaction, population health, and other key initiatives.
Communicate effectively with staff to promote understanding and implementation of these initiatives.
Attend and participate actively in at least half of the staff meetings at each clinic to enhance communication and alignment with organizational goals.
Coverage and Support: Assist with coverage needs of clinic managers, ensuring uninterrupted patient care and service delivery.
Facilitate and support clinic managers in achieving operational and clinical goals.
Communication and Meetings: Participate in Ambulatory Medicine and the CMH leadership meetings to align clinic operations with broader organizational objectives.
Ensure effective communication channels between clinic staff and senior management.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Director of Operations to align regional clinic operations with overall strategic goals.
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including GME programs, to integrate educational and operational goals.
Partner with your regional colleague to cover the entire footprint of CMH.
Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to clinic managers, supervisors, and lead staff.
Conduct weekly onsite clinic one-on-one meetings with each clinic manager to review operations, key initiatives, challenges, and progress.
Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the division.
Performs other duties as assigned.
