- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures
- Monitor animals before, during, and after surgeries or treatments
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up instructions to pet owners
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Veterinary Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with kennel operations, pet grooming, and dog handling
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
