THE POSITION: Under direction of the Program Manager, the incumbent has the possibility to manage rehab services at multiple hospitals.
The incumbent develops and coordinates speech, occupational and physical therapy standards/competencies and orientation programs for therapy staff, coordinates staff development programs, assists in the recruitment and retention of staff, and provides case management and professional direction.
If appointed at the Level II, the incumbent will be responsible to lead education efforts within the clinic as well as develop speech, occupational and physical therapy programs.
Ideal candidates for this position have experience working in the hospital setting.
APPROXIMATE SALARIES: Supervising Therapist I: $3,569.
52 - $5,253.
03 BiweeklySupervising Therapist II: $3,831.
53 - $5,374.

Ensures adequate staffing for assigned sites, which includes hiring.
Ensures assigned staff is competent for the position hired.

Ensures that staff development occurs.
Day-to-day operation of the site, including: Caseload management to ensure that prescribed orders are being followed.
Coordination of clinic conferences and necessary follow-up.

Facilities and supplies.
Interprets programs and policies for staff, medical personnel, and consumers.
Carries caseload responsibilities of licensed discipline.
Provides input to therapy manager regarding impact of state guidelines/laws.
Assigns, directs, reviews and evaluates the work of staff therapists and other assigned staff.
Takes disciplinary action against subordinate employees when deemed necessary.
Ensures maintenance of required medical, caseload, and personnel records.
Interviews prospective site employees and recommends hiring of new staff.
Budget planning for assigned centers.
Represents the therapy program in hospital and leadership meetingsProvide patient care when needed, which may include lifting and carrying around 50 poundsPerforms other related duties as assigned.
