Scheduling Coordinator/Technician Needed Do you have a way of making people feel at ease and comfortable, even if you don’t know them? Our busy optometric office needs a Scheduling Coordinator to help us give our patients a 5-star experience all the time, every time! This is a full-time position at our office with full benefits in Camarillo with weekends OFF! This position pays $18-$25 per hour.
No Experience Needed! Prior medical office or optometric experience is a plus, but it’s certainly not required.

You will work with patients to ensure optimal scheduling.
You will set the stage for each patient’s appointment by being one of the first people to interact with them.
You will oversee the office’s recall system contributing to the overall success of the office.
You will also perform the duties of an optical technician and myopia management specialist as needed.
Some of your duties will include: Using your friendliest phone voice to answer calls and taking messages Manages the practice’s schedule, makes patient appointments, determines when the optometrist is available and confirms appointments to ensure patients are on time.
Reviewing and organizing patient medical charts for accuracy and authenticity Understanding and respecting patient privacy laws Taking the patient back to the exam room and verifying their medical history Taking payments and applying them to patient accounts Spending time with each patient before the doctor comes in, performing duties such as measuring retinal function, peripheral vision, and retinal thickness, and taking retinal photographs.
“Refracting” the patient, which means starting the process of finding the patient’s eyeglass prescription before the doctor comes in to refine it.
Taking notes for the doctor during the patient’s exam.
Ordering proper tests based on the doctor’s diagnosis.
Properly coding procedures so everything gets paid by the patient’s insurance.
