Our work depends on a RF Engineering SME to help support the Navy’s airborne Electronic Warfare Integrated Labs (EWIL) Integrated Product Team (IPT) onsite at Point Mugu, CA.
HOW OUR RF ENGINEERING SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Execute RF testing.
Fully troubleshoot and resolve any RF testing and chamber related issues.
Analyze large amounts of test data and clearly report results and observations.
Maintain an up-to-date chamber, instruments, and RF test setup characteristics, identifying any limitations along with specifications on potential upgrades.
Plan and execute chamber configuration changes using team inputs.
Plan for upgrades and improvements to instruments, the chamber, and test setup.
Maintain inventory and calibration of all instruments and equipment required for chamber testing.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (Required): Security Clearance Level: Secret Required Experience: 5+ years High competency in electromagnetic theory and practical application of RF test and measurement Experience in RF test design, setup, and execution; data collection, analysis, and reporting Experience with anechoic chamber and antenna characteristics/design Strong knowledge of RF measurement instruments and components such as network analyzers, spectrum/signal analyzers, signal generators, power meters,… Strong knowledge in RF simulation: HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR, Sonnet Rings, Ansoft, Comsol, EZNEC,… Experience with computer programming: C#, C++, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, R, Python, SQL Education: BS (or equivalent experience) Location: Onsite at Point Mugu, CA US Citizenship Required PREFERRED SKILLS: Previous anechoic chamber facility maintenance and support is a big plus: electrical/power, liquid/air cooling, optical/copper communications networks, RF absorber,… Adapt to and work with a dynamic team with a broad range of backgrounds and skills solving complex problems.
