$1,200 BEWARE - Victorian Sublet Lock Out Scam (Ventura)

BEWARE LOCK OUT SCAM.
I made a causal (no documentation or signatures) short term sublet agreement with the man renting 2453 N Ventura Ave, Ventura, CA 93001.
Agreement was made via phone and email.
I paid him first and last months rent when I arrived on site.
I stayed for less than two weeks.
I left the property for several days and when I returned he had changed the lock on the front door and told me not to use the lock on the back door because he needed to "fix" it.
I did not wait to get locked out and lose my stuff, I moved out immediately.
I did not confront him in person because he had multiple firearms and a concealed carry.
When I contacted him via text and phone to explain the situation he ignored me.
At this point I assume I have lost the money so I am warning others.
Other things to note: Property is not as described: NO LOCK on bedroom or bathroom door.
Shared spaces are filthy and crammed with "valuable" electronics.
"Landlord" does NOT keep to himself, routinely cornered me in shared spaces to chat about the weather, sports, etc.
SECURITY CAMERAS ALL OVER PROPERTY (suspect camera/bug in rental room) MULTIPLE FIREARMS ON PROPERTY INCLUDING CONCEALED CARRY Preferentially rents to younger single women and expects to socialize with them Has multiple Aliases: went by Loren Alan.
Also comes up online as Loren Bland, or Bob Smith on FB Very creepy, probably not a legal sublet, just look elsewhere
