Hello Craigslist universe! I'm looking for a housemate to share my 2-bedroom apartment in Ventura starting March 1.
The room is unfurnished and is $1200 per month which includes all utilities (water, trash, gas, internet) except half of the electricity bill (that should only come out to 15$/person/month).
For size reference, I put a queen sized mattress on the floor which you can see in the pictures.
The rest of the apartment is furnished (mostly, I just moved in a month ago, happy to get some more furniture if you have any you want to share).
I'm looking for someone who cleans up after themselves, is friendly, and best case an early riser since I go to bed early and get up early.
The apartment is in a quiet area with really nice neighbors, laundry on-site, and it's close to amenities and only a mile from the beach - you can bike to go surfing! There is lots of storage space in the apartment.
Also, if you work from home and the room is too small to set up your work station, you can set yourself up in the living room where there is lots of space left.
The apartment has a nice view of the hills and the room looks out on beautiful bamboo (see pictures).
We'll be sharing the bathroom.
There is ample street parking nearby, and we'll get a carport soon that we can have alternating weeks/days or something.
I don't have any pets currently but I believe a small pet would be fine, we can talk to the manager.
About myself: I'm a 30 year old woman, I work as a scientist in Thousand Oaks and commute there daily, so I'm out of the house from 7am-7pm most days.
I like to surf in the mornings before going to work.
My other hobbies are rock climbing and skiing so I'm gone most weekends to pursue outdoor recreation.
I'm pretty quiet when I'm at home and am fine with living with someone side-by-side and giving each other the space we need, but if a friendship develops that'd be an extra bonus.
