What you will do: We are currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter candidate to join the sales team that oversees BASSBOSS and Ocean Way Audio within the Pro Audio Division of American Music and Sound as a Market Development Manager.
In this role, you will perform dealer prospecting, dealer support (purchasing, merchandising, POP, website audits, clinics and local events, training, marketing, etc.
), trade show support (product presentations, lead capture, consultative selling and qualifying), regional show support, field rep support, logistics support, training, marketing support, manufacturer liaison, market feedback, end-user customer support, venue prospecting, and more! Responsibilities: Be a brand ambassador for BASSBOSS, Ocean Way Audio and the Pro Audio division’s affiliated portfolio of PA and Loudspeaker brands and products.
Identify venues as candidates for demonstrations, clinics, events, etc.
Evaluate trade shows, regional shows, and events as candidates for exhibition.
Attend trade shows, regional shows, and events as an exhibitor and presenter for the brand(s) and/or to prospect for new business opportunities.
Identify prospective dealers, integrators, contractors, and influencers to support new business opportunities in all market verticals.
Become a subject-matter expert for each of the lines, be able to clearly articulate the value prop(s) for each product/brand, accurately demonstrate the product(s), address technical use-case questions, provide in-depth training to internal/external partners/stakeholders and related associates.
Plan logistics for field events, including transport, personnel, and marketing support.
Establish budgets for localized activations and forecast annual spend as a function of sales.
Engage with dealer base to provide training, merchandising, purchasing, website, marketing support in the most effective manner (in-person, phone, video, digital, etc.
) Analytics development to track sales activity against activations whether digital, virtual, or in-the-field to determine ROI and areas of opportunity.
Provide market intelligence to sales, marketing, and manufacturer partners to support informed product development feedback and roadmap discussions.
Identify strategic partnerships inside/outside of JAM to leverage synergies and natural adjacencies to maximize sales/marketing opportunities.
Additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the department head.
What we are looking for: High level of experience in any combination of sales, marketing, retail/ecommerce, pro audio, production, performance, sales management.
Expert knowledge of the musical instruments industry across a broad range of product categories, pro audio being a plus.
Minimum 5 years in sales (direct, retail, ecommerce) or related experience.
Working knowledge of PA, loudspeakers, and/or production equipment.
Collaborative team worker, thought leader, willingness to take initiative and accept critical feedback.
Self-starter, innately inquisitive, natural curiosity and drive to develop/master new skills.
Bi-lingual, multi-lingual is a plus.
Ability to communicate with performers and audio professionals at high level.
Measured, diplomatic, and assertive communicator.
Confident representative of sales and marketing; brand ambassador.
Ability to travel throughout the USA and internationally on a frequent basis.
