Both companies are in the Los Angeles metropolitan area with 125,000 sq.
ft.
of manufacturing floor space and around 150 employees.
We are looking for a solutions-oriented individual to join ZC&R Coatings as a Maintenance Mechanic to be responsible for safely improving manufacturing equipment performance, and when breakdowns occur, efficiently restoring equipment to full functionality in Torrance, CA.
This 22,000 sq.
ft.
facility is equipped with custom thin film coating equipment and an array of metrology tools to monitor the quality of the product.
We offer a competitive Hourly rate ranging *from $22 to $27* along with a comprehensive benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.
*Purpose: *Primary responsibilities include performing maintenance of mostly moderate to high complexity, but not limited to, installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
This position is responsible for safely improving manufacturing equipment performance, and when breakdowns occur, efficiently restoring equipment to full functionality.
These activities are aimed at assuring the continuous and proper operation of the plant equipment in support of operations.
*Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: *Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following.

1.
Performs Preventive Maintenance of manufacturing equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.
2.
Maintains equipment and PM maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures guidelines.
3.
Inspects drives, motors, fluid levels, filters, etc.
and performs maintenance actions as required.
4.
Calibrate and adjust machinery settings to achieve precise glass dimensions and quality standards 5.
Assist in the installation of new glass fabrication machinery and collaborates with vendors and engineers during the commissioning process 6.
Monitors and adjusts equipment to ensure optimum performance.
7.
As assigned and required performs minor general repairs of factory equipment.
8.
Performs normal labor and clean-up tasks as required.
May be required to perform other non-maintenance related activities as assigned.
9.
Responsible for compliance with quality, safety, environmental and health procedures and regulations.
10.
Works closely with Maintenance and Operations personnel in attaining production goals and objectives.
*Responsibilities-Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised: *None *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *- Must possess in-depth knowledge and skills of industrial equipment and repairs - Ability to install, trouble shoot, repair, overhaul, align, test, and maintain equipment - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams and instructions pertaining to the assembly, installation, repair and maintenance of equipment - Ability to communicate effectively with all engineering, operations, and all support groups *Minimum Qualifications (including Education): *- High school diploma and technical trade school or equivalent - 3-5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment, including mechanical and electrical maintenance - Must meet physical demands (noted below) required of maintenance personnel - Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
