*Job Summary:* Effectively operate and maintain Engel and Milicron injection molding machines, tooling and processes
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Thorough understanding of molding machine controls and processes.
* Ability to operate all aspects of molding equipment.
* Visual inspection of parts using microscope.
* Dimensional inspection of parts using optical and hard tool inspection equipment.
* Change over materials and tooling (molds).
* Documenting process and process parameters and creating work instructions
* Identifying tooling and materials needs to aid in more efficient operation.
* Recording entries of operations on Operation Logs.
* Working to schedule and effectively communicating deadline issues
* Maintain a safe clean and orderly work place.
* Supports the QC Team with the process validation of all new manufacturing systems and equipment.
· Optimizing manufacturing systems and tooling use to support the manufacturing of surgical instrumentation.
· Helping to resolve manufacturing and production system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
· Other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
· Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
· Minimum 5 years prior experience with injection molding
· Computer literate able to work with MS excel, word, project and other related work applications as required.
· Use of fabrication equipment and tooling.
· Experience with silicone over molding processes, plastics and metal
· Excellent work ethic and strong sense of urgency.
· Good interpersonal skills, tactful, mature and flexible
· Good written and verbal communication skills with internal and external personnel.
· Knowledge of material cleaning and passivation processes
· Clean room assembly practice (cGMP) experience
*Work Environment*: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is frequently exposed to a variety of varying weather conditions, trash, waste, chemicals and other materials.
The noise level in the work environment and facility grounds can be loud.
In some situations, employee may need to work stand for several hours at a time, overseeing machine processes.
