Bruker Nano, one of Bruker’s four operating segments, provides customers in academic, governmental institutions, life science, materials science, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules.
Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.
We are looking for a Wafer Fabrication Technician to process wafers to make consumables for Atomic Force Microscopes and other Bruker instruments.
Responsibilities: * Start-to-Finish wafer processing of silicon MEMS devices using established processes.
* Operate all cleanroom equipment including; photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, diffusion, sputtering, evaporation, optical and SEM inspection.
* Work closely with manufacturing and development engineering to develop new processes, including running Proof of Manufacturing runs * Work closely with Manufacturing and Development Engineering to develop new AFM probe designs * Suggest process and product improvements as noted.
Work with Engineering to implement improvements.
* Communicate status of production lots as needed with the planner and weekly at production meetings.
* Capture and enter data into Microsoft Office files and Quality Management software.
* Quality checking product prior to delivery to Assembly Department.
* Communicate equipment failures to equipment engineering and process deviations to process engineering.
* Meet committed delivery times.
* Notify appropriate personnel when supplies are low.
* Change out chemicals in wet process benches as required.
* Assisting with the troubleshooting of tools and in improving processes as needed.
Qualifications: Requirements: * 7+ years experience working in a wafer fab production environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High School Diploma required.
* Some College Preferred.
* Have practical experience with and must be able to operate photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, diffusion, sputtering, evaporation, optical and SEM inspection equipment.
* Be familiar with the Windows operating systems and with the MS Office suite, including Microsoft Excel, Word.
* Have excellent hand and eye coordination and a steady hand to manipulate fragile wafers with tweezers under an optical microscope.
* Be able to communicate and work well with other team members.
* Capable of reading work instructions and follow without errors.
* Willing to learn new techniques and processes.
* Must be able to work in a class 100 cleanroom environment, wearing gloves and full bunny suit, sitting for extended periods of time.
* Handle chemicals and work in proximity of sources of Ultraviolet light wearing personal protective equipment.
* Have good vision, dexterity, and good eye-hand coordination to handle fragile wafers.
* Be able to work looking through an optical microscope for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation.
The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $62,287.

The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
