*Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Camarillo, CA.
The ideal candidate will operate multiple production machines based on blueprints, sketches, and route sheets.
This role contributes to lean initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing costs, all while working within a supportive team environment.
*Responsibilities:*
* Setup and operation of production machines, ensuring adherence to pre-planned sequences and established procedures.
* Perform various machine operations, including cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming parts.
* Conduct operations such as tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring to close tolerances.
* Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established methods.
* Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts according to documentation.
* Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, or other irregularities from machined parts.
* Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, gages, and comparators.
* Maintain equipment cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability in accordance with division requirements.
* Perform statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.
* Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and applying lean concepts.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
* Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
*Job Requirements:*
* Minimum of two years related machining experience.
* High School diploma or equivalency.
* Ability to read and follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
* Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including trigonometry, is preferred.
* Experience with lean initiatives is advantageous.
* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proficiency in interpreting reports and using job-specific software applications.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and actively contribute to team goals.
* Willingness to engage in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
