What you’ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the successful execution of the Quality Management System in the Eaton Camarillo, California facility.
The Sr Quality Technician will be responsible for interacting with customer and regulatory personnel regarding QMS Compliance to regulatory and customer requirements; quality support of new programs, supporting management review, internal and external audits and the administration of the Quality Management System.
* Candidate must work on-site daily at the Camarillo, California location.
Due to expansion, 2 positions available for immediate hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A.
Assure the development, publication, and maintenance of quality assurance procedures that contribute to the production of products that conform to customer requirements.
B.
Work with resident government and/or customer quality personnel to interpret or reach agreement on procedures and performance of equipment.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, including Government Property Management, per contract requirements.
C.
Recommend and enforce inspection and quality system policies and procedures within the facility.
Work closely with other departments to alleviate quality problems related to procurement, processing and design.
D.
Plan, schedule and direct professional support from all business functions for quality audits based on the EQMS and regulatory/customer requirements.
E.
Support AS9100 requirements through the QMS by supporting Quality Best Practices.
F.
Chair the Internal Audit Team and provide expertise regarding the scheduling of Internal Audits, Auditor training, reporting requirements and corrective action verification techniques based on the EQMS and Certified Auditor processes.
G.
Administer the Product Audit process including the selection of audit personnel and products to be audited, performance of audits, audit reporting and corrective action follow-up as required.
H.
Manage Corrective Action processes, including Preventive Actions.
I.
Manage Layered Process Audits of the Quality Management System.
Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of Quality Systems or Manufacturing Environment experience • Experience with AS9100 Quality System and product/process auditing techniques • Schedule flexibility to be on-site during weekend operations as needed • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering • Detailed knowledge of Aerospace product, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
• Experience in aerospace products and applications.
• Certified as Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) preferred • ASQ certification (Quality Auditor, Engineer, or Manager) • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer • Strong analytical skills and business acumen • Broad knowledge of the Aerospace industry ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • Strong ethics, values and the ability to influence others’ decision-making.
