Position: IT Help Desk Technician II
Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC) is currently seeking an IT Help Desk Technician II to join our team.
The position will be based in Camarillo, CA, and will report to the company President.
Company Overview: Toray Performance Materials Corporation (TPMC), a part of the Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) Group, is a leader in development and manufacturing of thermoplastic composites technology and products.
TPMC primarily services customers in the consumer recreation, medical, and electronics industries as well as other industrial segments.
Growth in these markets and future expanded markets is desired.
Position Overview: The Helpdesk Technician II will be the first line of support for all employees experiencing technical issues regarding computer software, hardware and applications to resolve problems.
This role will utilize, maintain and update status using the helpdesk application (Ticketing system) to manage IT requests.
This role will support employees and the IT department by assisting employees in resolving computer problems in person, or via telephone or electronically.
This is a fast-paced environment, and the applicant must be willing to work flexible hours with the occasional on call/after-hours/weekend support.

Major Duties and Requirements: First line support for all users experiencing technical issues.
Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware to resolve problems.
Utilize, maintain and update the helpdesk application (Ticketing system) to manage IT requests for hardware/software repair, maintenance, or replacement.
Provide technical assistance to employees by answering questions or resolving computer problems for employees in person, via telephone or electronically.
Provide assistance by making recommendations regarding the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, e-mail, mobile phone and operating systems.
Set up equipment for employee use, perform or ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, and/or appropriate software.
Read, understand and interrupt technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
Produce, update and provide best practice support on MS documents, databases and other departmental systems.
Manage workstation rebuilds and software deployment.
Manage company phone and cell phone equipment and plans.
Maintain inventory of systems and software and perform routine audits of systems and software.
Manage onboarding and offboarding of Toray PMC Employees, including hardware, software, access rights, field level security, etc.
Work closely with Corporate IT on Toray IT security initiatives.
Work with Corporate IT on other projects for TAC/TPMC.
Travel required (North America and potentially Asia).
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and/or Education Requirements: College/Trade School experience in CIS/MIS or Computer Science is preferred.
2 to 5 years of experience with supporting IT infrastructure technologies including hardware, mobile, phone systems and business applications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging skills and proven ability to discern between critical and minor problems.
Ability to troubleshoot in a timely manner while exhibiting a sense of urgency.
Flexible work schedule in order to support different work shifts, accommodate system upgrades and maintenance that must be performed outside of normal operating hours.
Attention to detail, well organized and able to multitask.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbally) in English.
Able to work effectively across all departments.
Proficient in an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Dynamics 365 Proficient in MS Office suite (Office 365).
Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
Follow safety procedures for PPE (personal protection equipment).
Salary Information $57,377 - $91,803 USD Annual Compensation: A competitive compensation package including base salary, potential for bonus based on performance, group health, dental and vision insurance, and 401k will be available to the qualified applicant.
