HR Generalist (Sr.
HRG) will play a key role in providing comprehensive HR support across various functions, including company benefit offerings, employee relations, performance management, training and development, workers’ compensation administration, leaves of absence and compliance with multi-state and federal employment regulations.
The Sr.
HRG has a solid understanding of HR principles and best practices, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and disputes, providing recommendations for resolution.
Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
Identify and coordinate training needs and develop training programs to address skill gaps and enhance employee development.
Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required.
Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and other systems.
Process employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and documents.
Collaborate with HR leadership to develop, implement, and communicate leave policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and legal requirements.
Stay informed about changes in leave laws, workers’ comp, benefits, state and federal employment laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures for proper compliance.
Ensure accurate processing of leave-related absences, including adjustments to timekeeping systems and payroll deductions.
Administer all types of employee leave programs, including but not limited to personal leave, FMLA, CFRA, Workers’ Comp, and other leaves.
Process leave requests in a timely and accurate manner, verifying eligibility, coordinating with managers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Maintain comprehensive leave records for all employees, including tracking accruals, usage, balances, and any relevant documentation.
Develop, implement, and administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.
Lead open enrollment processes, including communication planning, materials development, and employee education sessions.
Coordinate with payroll to establish insurance carrier file feeds and ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related deductions, changes, communications contributions.
Develop and distribute communications and resources for employees and managers to promote understanding and appreciation of benefits offerings.
Handle escalated benefits issues and discrepancies, working with employees and vendors to resolve problems promptly and effectively.
Act as primary backup to assist Corporate Recruiter (i.
e.
, recruiting, on-boarding, Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree or HR certification (e.
g.
, SHRM-CP, SPHR) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in leave administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, CRFA, and ADA.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience working with benefits administration in ADP Workforce Now and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional critical thinking skills and a customer-centric approach to addressing employee needs and concerns.
High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations, multi-state experience a plus.
