We are accelerating industrial additive manufacturing (AM) with a modular 3D printing system that empowers customers to move from prototyping to serial production, and we are looking for a highly motivated Sr.
AM Applications Engineer to join our team.
Job description The Senior AM Applications Engineer will leverage technical expertise in additive manufacturing, specifically LPBF, and play a crucial role in supporting the sales efforts of the MetalFAB machine, and mentoring teammates in their development by sharing technical expertise and practical engineering experience.
Responsibilities will include: · Provide technical support to the internal sales process by delivering in-depth knowledge and insight into LPBF technologies and applications · Engage customers directly in the sales process via creation of technical reports, and leading discussions in remote and in-person meetings · Develop and foster relationships with decision-makers and partners in target industries, including aviation, space, automotive, automotive, energy and high-tech · Deliver post-sales technical support to customers, ensuring successful adoption and optimization of metal AM processes and resolving technical issues in support of the service and engineering teams · Stay abreast of industry trends, ensuring the product portfolio remains competitive and innovative · Secure presentation opportunities at relevant industry events · Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and stakeholders · Engage with Business Development and Marketing colleagues toward the creation of compelling technical whitepapers and sales collatera Reporting You will report to the North American Director of Sales & Applications Qualifications · Bachelor’s or advanced degree in mechanical engineering, physics, materials science or equivalent field · Proven experience in additive manufacturing, with a focus on LPBF technology · Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex products and services · Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets or applicable KPIs · Willingness to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight travel · Must maintain a valid driver's license and U.
